Thinking about hosting a winter beach wedding? Throw the winter wonderland wedding of your dreams with our simple tips and tricks to throwing the perfect winter beach wedding.

LAYER YOUR LOOK

Keep the chill away and look stylish at the same time with some chic winter accessories. A faux fur stole, a cape, a veil or even a long-sleeve wedding dress are all good ways to keep warm.

Don’t forget your bridesmaids! Make sure to choose long sleeved dresses or cover ups to keep your bridesmaids warm on your big day.

Suit jackets and long pants are pretty standard dress for the groom and groomsmen, but to take things up a notch and keep the guys warm at the same time, opt for a nice thick suit fabric.

CURATE YOUR COZY SPACE

Save time spent out in the cold or getting from A to B by having your ceremony and reception at the same venue. Say ‘I do’ in Babalou’s stunning indoor ceremony space, then watch the space transform into a beautiful reception venue where you and your guests can celebrate into the night.

For extra toastiness, provide blankets at the reception for guests to use. This works well if you’re hosting a sit-down lunch or dinner. For ambiance, candles are the perfect addition to your table setting or around the space.

WINTER CATERING

Keep your guests warm with hearty winter food options. Babalou’s 12 hour braised lamb shoulder with black beer jus, served with truffle mash and wilted greens is a winter wedding favourite. Or go for the whole roast sirloin with garlic potato hash and sautéed broccolini – the perfect warming meal for a beachside wedding.

Offer warm beverages such as coffee, hot chocolate, tea or mulled wine if you’re after something a little stronger.
