As the Tweed’s premier functions space, Babalou is the perfect venue in which to host the ultimate wedding ceremony and reception. For our shoot, the features of the venue took a step back so the vibrant floral arrangements could be the focus. These came from Flowers by Julia Rose, who provided a series of unique, textural arrangements, dotted with delicate feathers. The statement furniture pieces, including the decorative bridal chair and unique barrel bar tables, were provided by Babalou while Hampton Event Hire supplied the dining table and chairs.
If you’re thinking of a sit-down reception, Babalou can comfortably accommodate 140 guests, or 200 for cocktail-style standing events. The polished hardwood floor, ocean views, spacious balcony, and integrated AV system make Babalou an effortlessly stylish wedding venue.

The Gold Coast/Tweed Heads region is jam-packed with fabulous local businesses to assist in making your dream wedding day a reality, like Bohemian Brides, who provided the stunning lace-accented dress for Floral Delight. Hair and makeup was done by local HMU artist Erin Stuart Styles, who created a warm, minimal look on model Jessica Cavallaro, to perfectly balance the statement florals. The sweet custom stationery was designed and printed by Love Notes Australia, and Cloud Catcher Studio photographed our styled wedding shoot.
