Allie & Nathan’s Cabarita Wedding

Allie & Nathan celebrated their special day with a stunning beachside reception at Babalou. The ceremony was held on Cabarita beach before the party made their way to Babalou’s contemporary coastal venue for a night of Champagne towers and festivities.

The Ceremony: Cabarita Beach

Allie and Nathan tied the knot in a stunning afternoon ceremony on Cabarita beach. The wedding ceremony was set up in the sand near the headland. Wooden benches were lined up for guests and a rustic timber arbour framed the couple. The arbour was styled with floral decorations in shades of pink, white and green, matching the bridal parties bouquets.

After the barefoot ceremony, the bridal party took photos around the headland and the guests made their way to Babalou for pre-dinner drinks and canapés.

The Reception: Babalou

Pre Dinner Drinks

At Babalou guests were treated to a free flowing beverage package. Antipasto platters were placed around the room alongside turkish breads and dips.

There were a combination of hot and cold canapés on offer for guests boasting a range of flavours. Guests were served potato, olive and goats cheese croquettes, coconut prawns, tomato and basil bruschetta and heartwarming chorizo and halloumi skewers.

The reception tables were set up banquet style with white linen cloths. The settings were decorated with woven placemats, light blue main plates and white entrée plates. Amber water glasses added warmth to the table. Down the middle of the table there were small pink, white and green bouquets in brown glass jars and long white candlesticks.

Reception Dinner

Once the bridal party arrived, guests were seated and served main course. Main course consisted of alternate drop between crispy salmon with orange Tom Yum broth and lamb shoulder with black beer jus. Both dishes were accompanied by tomato, beetroot and rocket salad, thyme roasted kipfler potatoes and steamed greens with almond butter.

Following the main course there were a round of beautiful speeches. The wedding cake was cut and the champagne tower was poured for toasting. The garter and bouquet toss went off without a hitch and plated wedding cake was served for dessert.

The celebrations continued into the night until the bride and groom left through a stunning sparkler tunnel exit.
